3 February 2019 – Southern Cederberg Tour (SUNDAY)

R985.00 per vehicle (regardless of the number of passengers)

Join us for a day of adventure, history and pass driving as we take an interesting route through the Southern Cederberg, starting in Citrusdal and ending in Ceres.

We will be driving 3 gravel passes and 3 tarred passes, as we trace a slice of history from the old sheep trekking routes to the burly days of the pioneering trekkers who settled in the valleys where water was found.

If you enjoy hairpin bends, steep drop-offs and dramatic scenery, then this is the tour for you!

The highlight of the tour will be a double traverse (ascent & descent) of the Piet Esterhuysen Pass via the oddly named Tandfontein farm. A tortuous, narrow single width track that clings to the mountainside, propped up by loosely packed stone walls – a road that was built by local farmers over a 7 year period, dating back to 1940. This is one of the newest passes recently added to our database and will be guaranteed to raise your pulse a notch or two.

You pay per vehicle and not per person, so the tours are ideal for families.

  • Start: Citrusdal 08h30
  • End: Ceres 16h00

All vehicles will be supplied with crystal clear FM quality two way radios so we can communicate with you.
